How do I get started?
In Missouri, your real estate career will start with obtaining a license. To get a license you must complete the Missouri pre-license course through an accredited school. This course focuses on such areas as titles, fair housing, property rights, ownership, etc. After successful completion, you must take and pass the Missouri Real Estate Salesperson test. At this point, you would join with a broker and become an agent of that broker. The broker is now responsible for your actions as they relate to real estate. Within the first 6 months, you must complete the Coldwell Banker Fast Start course. Coldwell Banker Glennon requires all new agents to complete this course immediately after joining our company. We require this because this course introduces new agents to contracts, property types, financing, working with buyers and sellers, etc. This second course also established the base level of knowledge that our in-house training builds on. In real estate as in most true careers, your training and education will never stop. Our industry is exciting and it is changing, as a result personal growth is essential for success.
